Starting from scratch is a lot more difficult than originally anticipated. The nice thing about coming back to DA was being able to see how my drawing style has developed over the last three years. Things like anatomy and the way clothing drapes over organic forms are no longer a half guessed mystery.

That and the fact that most of my work now is not done on 8.5" x 11" white copier paper with #2 graphite and colored pencil helps.

It's also interesting to look back at who I was and where I was when I started this gallery. Different relationship, different city, a student studying to be a costume designer and now I'm a professional freelance costume designer. Big changes which seem small against the perspective of time.

That being said, it's taking longer than I thought to build up a decent gallery again. I guess it's because of my own fickle, perfectionist nature (when it comes to art anyway) that I refuse to upload something unless it's at some stage of completion. The problem that lies within that is between the shows that I'm designing costumes for, and work, and all the other miscellaneous ideas I have, there are a lot of half finished ideas lying about, and a lot more pieces gathering dust in my brain...

But I'm making excuses. I just need to buckle down and produce and not worry so much about the flaws.
